This position is first and foremost a people-focused role that values and respects the individual and is willing to journey with them, through all seasons of life, to help them attain their recovery/mental health goals.  This position will provide peer support services intended to aid individuals in establishing and maintaining individual recovery from substance use disorder (SUD) and support mental and physical wellbeing.  The peer coach promotes a holistic based approach to an individual’s care with an emphasis on respect, self-direction, and empowerment by providing peer support, personal assistance, education on community resources, and other supportive services for individuals recovering from substance use and mental health struggles.
